Dr. Albert Tuyishime has 13 years of experience working in the Rwandan health system. He holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree and a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology from the University of Rwanda. He is currently working in the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) where he has served more than 10 years in different roles. These roles include Head of Institute of HIV/AIDS Disease Prevention and Control (IHDPC); Division Manager of Planning,M&E, Health Information System and Business Strategy; Division Manager of Maternal,Child and Community Health (MCCH); and Director of Planning. Dr. Tuyishime is an expert in health systems strengthening, health programs planning, M&E and resources mobilization. He coordinated the Rwanda National COVID-19 Preparedness & Response plan and offered consultancy to different INGOs to develop COVID-19 Response Mechanism funding requests. He resides in Rwanda with his family.
