Support our 5-Year Plan to reach 1.5 million more people with lifesaving healthcare
By 2030, we’re expanding into three new districts. This means bringing innovative, high-impact health solutions to 1.5 million more people. But to fund the critical first year, we must raise $730,000 by December 31, 2025.
Why are we expanding now?
For over a decade, Health Builders has strengthened Rwanda’s health system from the inside out. Backed by over 15 years of collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), Health Builders works together with public systems to drive national health priorities. Our trusted model is gaining momentum, and with partner support, we’re ready to scale life-saving solutions to reach millions more.

From ultrasound access to chronic disease treatment, from clean infrastructure to digital tools, every innovation is grounded in data, community trust, and measurable results.
With an additional $730,000, Health Builders will:
Roll out at least two new high-impact programs
Reach over 1.5 million more Rwandans with quality primary healthcare by 2030
Hire key staff and build organizational capacity
Cover operational and infrastructure costs to ensure seamless expansion
Proven Impact: A Strong Foundation for Future Growth
Digital Tools + Community Power = A Scalable NCD Solution
Health Builders is proving that community health workers (CHWs)—working with technology—can dramatically expand access to care for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) like hypertension and diabetes.
In Nyabihu District, Health Builders deployed a cutting-edge community electronic medical record (cEMR) system that enables CHWs to screen, track, and refer patients with NCDs at the village level.
From March 2024 to March 2025, CHWs conducted over 90,000 screenings, leading to over 18,000 new cases identified with ongoing enrolment to follow up and care.
The digital approach allows real-time clinical decision-making and data collection, improving outcomes and efficiency.
At the same time, Health Builders trained and equipped CHWs on screening for hypertension and diabetes, and system use, ensuring sustainability within the public health system.
Rapid Expansion of Maternal & Child Health Services
Too many women in rural Rwanda face pregnancy without access to essential diagnostics like ultrasound. Health Builders is changing that—bringing equipment and skilled care directly to community health centers. Since the program began in 2020, 100,765 ultrasound scans have been performed and 4,057 high-risk pregnancies have been referred to hospitals for life-saving treatment.
This success has created a strong operational model we’re ready to replicate. By demonstrating measurable impact, building provider confidence, and integrating new services into public systems, we’ve laid the groundwork for expanding even further.
A track record worth investing in
These outcomes illustrate a powerful truth: with strategic investment, Health Builders’ model scales—impacting more people, improving systems, and elevating care quality in measurable ways. Be a part of our largest expansion yet!
