Working with the health centers and hospitals in the three districts we serve, Health Builders conducts a variety of activities to ensure efficiency and best practices. Mentoring activities include pharmaceutical inventory processes and controls, safety protocols for staff and patients, leadership and workforce development, and creating standards to improve quality of care. These activities are always aligned with the needs off the staff and administration, who know best how their local communities will benefit. In addition, Health Builders works within the facilities budget and helps set key performance indicators that will be reviewed throughout the year. Health Builders’ Health Management Advisors act as coaches throughout the process. An annual evaluation allows the district to monitor the progress and create goals for the next year.
The process creates comradery between Health Builders’ Health Management Advisors and the local health centers. The teams work together to realize the dream of creating an accessible and robust healthcare system to all communities in rural Rwanda.
