DAK Foundation Visit November 2019

In November, Health Builders received Marnie Rickards and Anubha Rawat from the DAK Foundation, who had previously donated 7 ultrasound machines.

During their visit, they saw the impact of the work Health Builders is doing at Munyaga Health Center, Rwamagana District Hospital and Ruhengeri District Hospital, where Health Builders had installed an oxygen plant. 

At Rwamagana, the team had a productive meeting with the Director-General of the District Hospital where they discussed the importance of ultrasound machines at the primary healthcare level. Health Builders completed a baseline assessment of the health centers which will receive the ultrasound machines donated by the DAK Foundation, and a training on how to use them took place from November 25 - 29. This training was funded by Enabel in collaboration with the Rwandan Ministry of Health.
